Objective: SWBAT........

This week, students continue Number Worlds, Level E, Addition. Students will continue to explore using partial sums and renaming strategies as they move toward the use of the standard addition algorithm.

• Students can recognize that nice numbers close to the numbers in a problem can be used to estimate the answer.

3.OA.8 Solve two-step word problems using the four operations. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
