This week, students begin Number Worlds, Level E, Addition. Students will explore different strategies for adding one- and two-digit numbers and gain facility with mental addition.
• Use doubles facts and near-doubles facts to find sums.
• Use nice numbers to find sums.
• Find missing addends using mental computation.
• Use +10 combinations to solve problems mentally.
Objective: SWBAT......
Students can use nice numbers to solve addition problems.

 3.NBT.2 Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
